I am a native of the Pacific Northwest and am currently residing in Whitefish, Montana with my wonderfully supportive husband Daniel, our beautiful and entertaining daughter Jolie, and our great dogs Murphy and Gerti. I've been painting since childhood, inspired by beautiful landscapes and continually encouraged by many members of my creative family. From the beginning I have almost always centered my work around peaceful themes and lively colors. One of my favorite subjects is flowers, real and imagined. The colors and forms are a wonderful creative outlet that I never tire of. Another subject that could be described as an undercurrent of my work is the artistic empowerment of the female form. I feel it is important to celebrate the beauty of all female forms, not just the ideals portrayed by our media and changing fashions.
